Friday is for Femulating

What’s Good for the Goose Dept.

Woman are shaving their faces (and men are shaving their legs).

According to this Good Housekeeping article, “Face-shaving is totally normal for all genders.” The article proceeds to list the 10 best facial razors for women and girls like us, but says nothing about the best leg razors for men.

He’s a Lady Dept.

The directors and officers of my ham radio group, which I serve as a board member, newsletter editor and leggy secretary, usually meets in Dayton on Hamvention Thursday. Although Hamvention was cancelled, we are still going to meet via a videoconference, so I will be dressed pretty for my premier appearance on Zoom today.

The directors and officers of my group can be divided into two groups – six fellows who knew me as a guy (and now know me as a girl) and three fellows who know me only as a girl. The former treat me the same as they always did, while the latter treat me as a lady. The difference is so obvious – the latter group is very polite and conduct themselves as gentlemen when dealing with me. I love it!

  1. As I wrote before, "Miss Teen 'Whatever'" contests are a way of life for Louisiana mothers and their daughters. Today's "Not-a-Civilian" is gorgeous and what I would expect from a "Pageant Mom". I'm guessing our young lady has been through training in composure, and walking in heels at a minimum. Those Moms are in the game to win!

  2. Thanks for sharing that info about your group. I think it's great that those who knew you as a guy seem to have kept that secret from the others who treat you as a lady. Happy that you can enjoy that feeling.

    1. There is no secret. I believe they all know about me, but three of them only see me in person when I am en femme, so they treat me like a lady because that is the only way they know me.

  3. Hey Stana, Your Marilyn with shaving cream photo stirred a memory. Back in the 70's there was a Gillette ad (either razor or shaving cream, can't recall) set in a police station. Voiceover announces "to go undercover as a woman ol' Fred here will need an exceptionally close shave with no tell tale nicks or cuts". They then extol the virtue of their product then cut back to ol' Fred, who is now beyond stunning. His police cronies chip in "wow, what a pretty face...but that body!"

    Ring any bells? Hugs, Michelle

    1. Don’t recall that commercial. Wish I could see it. Searched YouTube, but no luck. By the way, that is not Marilyn, but a look-alike: Italian actress Virna Lisi

    2. Thanks for the mention and pic of Virna Lisi ! What a gorgeous bombshell, too bad she never got enough attention.

I bought my Wife the #3 Finishing Touch Razor. It does great job on peach fuzz. The cutting head looks a lot like the traditional Norelco rotary cutting head --great for peach fuzz, but I would NOT use it on male beards, heavy hair would most certainly kill it or bog the tiny motor down.
Great price at Sally selling for Half the price of same @ crap mart.

    1. Miss you too, ham sister! I thought about Hamvention all weekend long - putting myself where I would have been if I had gone. As I write this, I should be staffing our booth Sunday mid-morning getting ready to start packing things up for the end of the show.

    2. I can't tell you how much I admire you for your having presented yourself as your lovely femme self, after so many years of people knowing you in drab. What is most encouraging and wonderful is how your strength of character, plus probably your good looks, let everyone who really knew you simply get to know you a bit more and better. So wonderful, so good for you, and them, and everyone else, too !
