Christmas Selfies

As usual, I did not receive any girly gifts this Christmas. Sometimes my family surprises me, like the Christmas my daughter gifted me with a Kate Spade handbag, but typically Stana gets nothing for Christmas.

I assumed this would be the case this year, so in anticipation of an empty thigh high stocking, I shopped for myself a week before Christmas and purchased two dresses from Venus: a pleated sweater dress and an animal print ruched ddress.. The dresses arrived on Monday and I quickly slipped off my male clothes and slipped into my unmentionables to try on my purchases.

I was not concerned about sizes because Venus is very consistent size-wise, so I know what to order to fit me. I was more concerned about how the dresses would look on me. And in a word, they looked “fabulous!”

Both dresses are “figure conscious,” that is, viewers seeing me in these dresses will be very conscious of my figure. Both are also leg-revealing with hems above my knees  (the animal print dress is a little shorter than the sweater dress).

Both are femulator-worthy – the sweater dress is suitable for a day out shopping and/or having lunch with the girls. The animal print dress is very sexy and is a dress to wear to impress.

I am very happy with my gifts and am anxious to wear them out.

  1. With you, things are more leg revealing than most other women. I know how that is - I gifted myself a new nightdress from Hips and Curves and my "ankle length" dress is on the calf ... but I will keep it. Already used.

    1. At 5' 14" (188 cm), I am used to wearing leg revealing clothing (not that there is anything wrong with that)!

    2. Exactly my point - I'm 5'13" myself

  2. I have had my eye on this Venus Sweater Dress for some time now, and this testimonial has moved me over the line - I'm ready to order it today! ----- I just have to decide on a color (giggle)

    1. Don't hesitate. The teal was out if stock in some sizes.

  3. Love your taste Stana. I have the Ruched Animal Print and love love love it. For anyone considering it, I am 5'9" and find the hemline as modest as I want...

  4. It's a terrible shame that Stana got no presents for Christmas. I hope this does not indicate disapproval from her family.
I think the two dresses are great but they should have been gifts from Santa Claus.

  5. For those of us above average height, hem length can be an issue, especially if we do not have your fabulous figure. I find I like my hems to be either high or low, above the knee or below it, those hems that just hang around indecisively somewhere in between are both inelegant and annoying.
