I'd Order A "Pink Lady"

  1. It's always interesting that you use phrases like "dressed like a woman," rather than "when I was dressed as a woman."

You make it clear that your characters are not women, but rather are just men dressed like a woman.

Of course, that goes along with the whole "femulate" concept of the blog, that it is not a place for women, be they women born female or born male. It is a place for femulators, who like to "dress like a woman."

This makes your own sometimes "woman" identification, such as in your tag line, "a woman who found herself in a male body," a bit odd, but then you have made clear that others, like your wife and co-workers see you as a man who likes to dress up, not as a woman who passes as a man for social benefit.

There are women who like a shot and a beer now and then, who can "drink like a man," but that doesn't erase their own identification as women, much like putting on a dress doesn't change a crossdresser's identification as a man.

But yeah, the crossdressing gender police often want to enforce some kind of surface femininity in others to protect the sacred vesting of femulation. You have that right.

But to me, it's great that women can still have a beer and a bump whenever they want to.

  2. Anonymous --- For starters, you wrote, "but then you have made clear that others, like your wife and co-workers see you as a man who likes to dress up, not as a woman who passes as a man for social benefit."

    Huh????

Secondly, it was a joke! Why don't you go find yourself a sense of humor.

  3. This is somewhat generational. I had three aunts who drank whisky. Neat, rocks or with water, occasionally with Ginger Ale, but most often with water. That was just the era they were brought up in. Post prohibition, women were beginning to go to bars and order drinks and they drank just like the men. So seeing as the picture appears to be set in the 1940s or `1950s it would be era appropriate for a woman to order a beer and a shot. As for the femulator in drab, perhaps he wasn't woman enough to drink with the girls.

Keep the material coming and there is no need to lose the light touch. Many of us have fun with dressing. Fun is good.

  6. My grandmother could put the shots away, shot a 30/30 and fed the family. I walk in her footsteps. I got the joke, some people just take life a little to seriously.
On the other hand anon was looking from the inside out rather the outside in, a perspective that is food for thought, after all deep down inside we all know who we really are.
Have fun at the conference, its a long way from here to there but would be a lot of fun to attend someday.
