Raven Ross and Rey Silva
Raven Ross and Rey Silva went to the prom in drag to celebrate Silva's passion for pop fashion icons and bring awareness about the fears that LGBT high school students often feel.

  1. This movie 'Miss Andy' has not been appreciated like the others made on transgender people.

  2. Old complaint, I know. But why is her outfit considered "drag" when she's wearing clothes obviously tailored for the female form?

    1. C'mon Julie, cut Raven some slack. She's young and probably doesn't know the difference between drag and butch.Ha!

  3. As a teacher I attended more proms then I'd like to admit. by the end of my teaching career I could tell some of the younger teachers I could have been at YOUR Senior prom. Towards the end there were female students who would wear a tux, a few had dates with girls in dresses. But not once did a boy adventure out to wear a prom dress. ( I understand now it does happen.) I sometimes wonder how many guys looked at their date and wished they could have been dressed in a beautiful gown? We did have one year a couple that for a comic photo switched outfits, still how many of the guys who laughed at their comic pose wish they had the guts to try it...in fact I wonder if I might have had the courage to try. Maybe that explains the popularity of all those womanless pageants you publish. What do you think? Would you have liked to attend prom in a gown?

    1. The 2022 Stanley/Stana would definitely do it, but the 1969 Stanley/Stana would not.

    2. Stana
We are roughly the same age
Schools and parents have changed a lot since 1969
At my school boys were sent home if there hair touched their collars
My father would have hit the ceiling when I wanted to wear a dress

  4. David's bridal has such a fantastic range of prom dresses. It was by and far the most popular place for the guys to get their gowns for the big night. It also has a stunning array of wedding and groomsman's dresses.

  5. Maybe the reason I did not go to my prom was because I couldn't wear a dress to my prom in the rural, ass-backwaters where I grew up. I never thought of that before. However, being a cheerleader in full en femme attire, including makeup, was beyond a dream come true!!!

  6. I can still recall my envy, way back in the late 80s, of all the girls in those pretty, poofy, satin prom gowns and sparkly heels. Perhaps I need a trip to David's to find sone fabulous to wear around the house in the evenings...
    Ciao! Elise
