  1. Is it just me or does it seem like every British actor has done femulating and they all are fantastic at it!

  2. WSR, British TV and movie actors tend to do or have done theatre as well. At Christmas time, our theatres run pantomimes, a genre of fantastical comedic performance, often based on a fairy tale, in which the leading man is played by a woman and certain female parts are played by men (eg the ugly sisters). So our actors have a culture of playing different types of parts, and also playing a female is just another role. Having said that I don't think that Sean Connery ever femulated.

    1. Actually, Connery was disguised as a bride in the 1974 film "Zardoz."

  3. I watched the YouTube clip of David Tennant femulating and despite being a Scot from Edinburgh (only 40 miles from Glasgow) I needed subtitles to understand the Glasgow accents and dialect of the other characters. Incidentally, he dolled up very nicely with that long curly wig.
