Good News

I want to thank you all again for your condolences regarding my dog's death.

It has been a very bumpy road the past two weeks, so it was great to finally receive some good news. Mid-morning Friday, out of the blue, I received an e-mail from the administrator of the CEO at my former employer inviting me to the company's annual Christmas luncheon.

Last year, I was invited to the luncheon after my mid-year retirement and I attended en femme leaving no doubt in my former co-workers' minds that I was trans. (Where did they get that idea? Maybe going to work en femme five Halloweens in a row had something to do with it.)

It was anticlimactic last year. It was as if I showed up in boy mode. Except for one female co-worker, who said she loved my skirt, no one mentioned my feminine outfit or the fact that I was presenting as a woman. Everyone called me "Stan" and socialized with me as they always had in the past.

I expect the same when I attend later this month and I am looking forward to seeing my old friends again.

  1. Great news! But does it bother you that they are going to call you Stan (midgender you)?

In any event, glad things look on the upswing for you toward the holidays.

    1. It did not bother me because I never formally came out at work (and announced that my name was "Stana"), so they had no other name to use except my male name.

  2. Dear Stana,

It’s lovely that you were invited for a second year post-retirement to your former company’s Christmas luncheon. From all your writings and attitudes in my faithfully following Femulate for many years, plus some lovely email exchanges, I have found you to be an extremely nice and friendly person. I have a feeling that you were very well-liked by your former workmates. In fact, I’m guessing you were so well-liked that most of your ex-coworkers are happy that you’re so fulfilled presenting as a woman. Plus, you do look fabulous as a woman, and probably many of your female work friends really enjoy that and welcome you as “one of the girls”. And, the open-minded males are OK with the “new” Stan as well. Brava, Stana! You are well-liked and accepted as a woman, and that is absolutely wonderful!

    Love,

    Sheila.

  3. Being invited back like that means they truly accept, love and respect you. Sounds like a great company wish I worked there (smile)

  5. Please consider posting the outfits here as an item as I'm sure we girls would love to chime in and help.
