  1. Interesting pageant photo. Do you have any details?

  2. Anonymous --- It is from the pageant held in New York City in 1967, which was documented in the 1968 film The Queen.

  3. In "How to Host a Womanless Pageant" there were comments after the article and people were mentioning how much "fun" it sounds.

But it's so much more than JUST fun!

  6. Amelia --- Thank you for the links to The Queen videos. I have the film on VHS; it has not been released on DVD so far.

  7. Staci:

Is your VHS longer than what is shown on YouTube or is that the entire movie?

  8. Amelia --- The VHS is 68 minutes in length. I cannot access YouTube at this time, so I don't know how the online video compares.

  9. Staci:

It's only about 18 minutes long, so there is plenty left out. Too bad.

  10. Amelia --- The VHS now sells for $98.35 new and $44.99 used on Amazon, so it must be out-of-print and becoming rarer by the minute. I paid much less than that when the tape came out in 1996 (which is one of the few good things about being an old lady).
