i am set to wonder where the mind of the guy went as he showed ‘the lady first’ into the conference to be told that she was a man……i have a sense he was probablyeven more intrigued & that there’d soon be that “i’ll be late home tonight” phonecall to his wife 😉
I had a similar experience at work on Halloween once upon a time. I was working in the corporate HQ of a large bank (stagecoach in the lobby) in San Francisco. I got on the elevator with two other employees, one male one female, and they both started complaining that nobody seemed to be dressing up for Halloween. When we got to my floor just as I exited the elevator I said in my best male voice, "You never know who may be in costume." I think their jaws dropped all the way back to the ground floor! I also got some "well done" type comments. I won second place in the building wide costume contest. Great feeling.

DeleteI dress like a woman virtually all the time. I still HATE to go shopping. And, people open doors for me even though I'm a man.
