Two Thousand and Counting

IMG_1865_cropped_again_72dpi This is my 2,000th posting here.

Who would have thought that when I started this blog 1,767 days ago on February 5, 2007, that it would still be going strong 2,000 posts later.

But you folks keep coming back, so I keep blogging (or is it vice versa?).

Some statistics: 702 of you have signed up as "Members," formerly known as "Followers," while over 5,200 of you visit this blog each day (averaged over the past 30 days). Meanwhile, the all-time hit counter just passed the 2-2/3 million mark. (Those numbers amaze me!)

All I have to say is "Thank you for your patronage.”

If you have been following along, you may recall that Tuesday night was my Avon representatives Christmas party. Well, I missed it.

A number of anticipated and unanticipated events lined up to block my way and I could not leave work early enough to get en femme and attend the party, which began at 6 PM.

The way things were going, I had a feeling for the last few days previous to the party that I was going to miss it and I have been very unhappy as a result.

But I have no one to blame but myself; better planning on my part would have permitted me to go.

On the other hand, I received some good news in the way of a package that USPS delivered on Tuesday. The red and black patent Mary Janes that I returned to Nine West because they were too small finally showed up one size larger. The larger size is a very comfortable fit, so that made up a little for missing the Christmas party.

On the other hand, the shoes arrived in time so that I could have worn them to the party. Darn it!

  1. Congratulations on reaching another milestone.
I am a poor planner. It is just something that I do not like to do and I have resigned myself to knowing that poor planning habits will on occasion mess up an event.
One of the people I work with addresses the issue with a large sign on her desk that reads "LACK OF PLANNING ON YOUR PART DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN EMERGENCY ON MY PART".
Once again congratulations and keep up the good work.

  2. Dear Stana,

WOW! The metrics for your postings, web visitors, etc. are very impressive. Congratulations! I love your blog, as do so many others. FEMULATE is the ONLY transgender blog I follow regularly.

You seem to be getting prettier as time goes on. Your self-taken in-the-mirror photo today is gorgeous. You look so young, beautiful, and stylish in the black dress with diagonal white lines. You look wonderful in all your photos, and I think your recent 12 pound weight loss has made your lovely face look younger and more beautiful. YOU GO, GIRL!

  3. Dear Stana,

All of your photos are lovely. Aside from your natural beauty and style, you follow the most important guideline for being photographed ... you SMILE beautifully in EVERY photo.

This post is actually meant for your readers ... Girls, please always smile brightly when being photographed. That will make you look much prettier, more feminine, and younger. Many transgendered girls look ANGRY in photos in which they are not smiling. Some T-Girls try to have a non-smiling "sexy" expression. Except for the most naturally pretty of us, these "sexy expression" poses often make the subject look angry, older, or masculine (instead of sexy).

My smiling recommendation is just that ... a recommendation. As Stana has often said ... "be yourself". If you really don't want to smile, then that is your choice, so go for it. But I just wanted to help some girls who don't want to look angry, older, or masculine, but do because they are not smiling.

  4. I didn't know Archie used to be a girl! :D

  5. I do not find this milestone, nor the longevity and popularity of your Femulate pages in any way surprising. After all, quality will always prove popular, and this blog provides plenty of that. Please, please keep up the high standards and superb work.

    Love and hugs,

  6. Congratulations, 2.000, wonderful, and thank you 10.000 times for your wonderful efforts to the benefit of our cause, warm kisses,

  7. Stana, you have developed a mega T-Blog and the reason is quality and content - both top notch.

  8. And thank you Stana for bringing a bt of femininity to my day. -Andee

  9. Wow, 2000 articles, this is fabulous! Congratulations and you really are a flag in our "fight" with the prejudices. Keep it real!!!!

  10. Stana,

Thank you for providing a great outlet for bringing out my inner girl. I know I can't wait to read it each morning. Please keep up the great work, I truly appreciate it!

  11. All --- Thank you for all the kind words!
