Fun with AI; No Fun with Blogger

Fun with AI

I came upon the middle image in an Elle email. The model looked like man—a fashion forward fellow for sure—wearing a white handbag, white pointy shoes (heels?) and a silver necklace.

I could not resist and had some fun with AI creating a more masculine version (left) and a more feminine version (right).

After doing a little research, I discovered that the model was actually female, but I did not let that little fact ruin my fun!

My Blog List

I received several emails reporting that My Blog List in the blog’s sidebar was broken. Instead of displaying the latest posts from the blogs on the list, it was displaying posts more than a week old.

I checked my blog’s settings, but nothing seemed amiss. Then I visited other blogs in the Blogger universe and, lo and behold, their blog lists were not updating either.

It turns out that other users have brought the problem to Blogger’s attention. However, at the time of this writing, the blog lists are still not updating.

And so it goes.

1982 Bossier City (Louisiana) womanless beauty pageant

  1. I don't think this is a womanless pageant. No number sashes, no obvious wigs and not a masculine face in the group.

    1. I assure you that this is a real womanless beauty pageant held by a Bossier City high school. The numbers of the contestants were printed on the bunny heads that the contestants wore (the one on the contestant in the red gown is most evident). No obvious wigs and no masculine faces are probably due to the fact that in some pageants the contestants go all out and have their real hair done up in a female style and get professional makeup done. Having followed these pageants for a long time, I found that the pageants in Louisiana have always been the best in the USA—the contestants go all out and are very convincing.

    2. Something weird is definitely going on? If you look at the hands of the person in the white dress (second from the left), they have five fingers and a thumb. Also the person holding the flowers doesn’t seem to have any arms?

It’s still a nice picture though!!

  2. Well, AI may be fun to manipulate images with. But the Daddy Dressing cartoon has some scary sets of legs in the last image!

And, yes, I too have noticed how Blogger is being weird for everybody just now. I dare say someone somewhere will fix it.

  6. I enjoy perusing Youtube for womanless beauty contests which usually results in high school boys transformed by their girlfriends or their mothers. I think there are plenty of young boys who are not very muscular and can easily pull it off. I was six foot one and weighed in at 140 pounds. I would have been a prime candidate for a make over. Now? With the current climate brought about by Trump and his anti-anything but white male crowd of cohorts a womanless beauty pageant in school would face serious blowback.

    1. It is actually the liberal woke who don't want womanless pageants because they are seen as making fun of transgender women.
