Sunday evening, we had our first black bear visit for 2025. Probably a 300-pounder, it sniffed the bird feeder, ate some bird seed off the ground, then checked out the blueberry bush, but there was no fruit to be had. Then it headed south along the west property line, crossed the road and disappeared into the woods... too quickly for me to take a photo.
I’ve been dog-sitting this week. This dog is my shadow – constantly at my feet trying to get my attention. And I have been a good dog sitter taking him on long walks as well short ones. When we are not walking, the dog sits in my lap. Try typing on a laptop keyboard with a dog in your lap!
And so it goes!
