  2. There seem to be a lot of cross dressing going on in prison camps, it’s new meaning to the term not a civilian

This remind me of an article I read a few years back about a group of femulators who toured during World War II as cisgender women to entertain troops in the more remote or combat areas Where they felt it was unsafe for women.

Now there’s a call to arms that I could support, what did you do in the war daddy Paula G

  3. Many years ago I read an autobiography of Roberta Cowell, the first British citizen to have sex reassignment surgery (in 1950-1951, before Christine Jorgenson's sex change). While there were constant requests to do so, he resisted growing his hair and playing women in the German POW camp prisoner plays. Cowell wrote about her "female nature" prior to joining the RAF, but resisted to avoid being labeled a homosexual. By 1948 Cowell's "female nature" had won out and "he" was on the way to becoming "Roberta"

If it had been me, I would have grown my hair and played women in a heartbeat -- but, on second thought, maybe doing plays without being a POW would have been the better choice! Ha!

    1. Homo sexuality was not legalised in the UK until the late 1960s
A Tgirl could not walk down the street dressed witout being arrested until later than that
Roberta was very wise to avoid drawing attention to herself by playing women,s parts in the camp theatre

  5. The cartoon makes me think of farces in the theatre. One I have long been curious to see is "When did you last see your trousers?"
