Do you like AI?
Regular readers of Femulate have no doubt noticed that Stana has taken a big plunge into the Artificial Intelligence world with many very interesting pictures with fun captions that she had created using AI.
Like Stana, I’m always interested in new technologies but I’m actually a bit late to the AI party. I only recently started dabbling in it. Do I like it? Well… I’d say the jury is out for me.
Let me show you a recent experiment that I tried.
What Can AI Do?
Just to see what my femme self could do with the latest AI iterations, I went down the rabbit hole that is ChatGPT. The application is rapidly expanding and new features are added regularly. The other day I discovered a feature that would analyze your photo and suggest an outfit that works best for your figure, face, hair, etc. Sounds like the perfect wing girl when you’re wondering what to wear.
To see how well this works, I gave it a photo from the day I got my new wig. I didn’t compose the instruction. It was one of several offered by ChatGPT.
Original Photo:
AI Instruction: Swap the person’s outfit for one that suits them ascetically. Choose clothing that compliments their face, hair, proportions and overall vibe. Keep the pose, expression, lighting, and identity unchanged. Ensure the new outfit feels natural, flattering and well styled.
Result:
I’m not sure I care for the leopard print top and I wonder if the color was influenced by the wood-toned background. I do like the way the top is cut though and I appreciate that AI got rid of the wig box I was carrying. Encouraged, I gave it a second photo.

The original was taken at my house on the night I was dressed for my group’s annual holiday girls’ night out. ChatGPT generated what I think is a really good outfit given its constraints. I liked it so much that I asked ChatGPT where I could buy that dress. Unfortunately, the answer I got was long on content but gave me mostly outfits that were nothing at all like the dress it suggested.
I’ll Be Back
The image on the upper right of this installment of Stuff was created with Chat GPT.
I’m sure I’ll play a bit more with AI, but for now, I’ll stick with Actual Intelligence. As usual, I welcome comments either here on the blog or by email to Jenn6nov at-sign gmail dot com.

I hate AI images, they have many flaws and always have a slight, semi-cartoonish feel that exposes them as fake - in CD terms, they are easily 'read.' I much prefer REAL photos, not obvious fakery. Reading many opinions about this subject, my dislike of AI images is in the vast majority.
ReplyDeleteI understand! Yes, some of the AI images you see on the internet are just so obvious. I guess we are meant to view them as we would illustrations/paintings and appreciate them on that basis. Hugs, JJ
DeleteHmmm...This article looks very familiar...
ReplyDeleteHey Girl!!! Yes, sometimes thing deserve a larger audience. :) JJ
DeleteFirst day back at work & I had to go into the office. Oh how I wish it was" Secretary Day" like the banner as I've been dressed all over the holiday & now I'm back masculine (ok I'll admit I'm wearing a bra & panties underneath) & it's so drab 😣
ReplyDeleteHi Emma, I always find that underdressing is better than no dressing. And when you get home from work, peel off those boring boyclothes, and are standing in your bra and panties, at least you'll be that much closer to being dressed the way you want to be;)
DeleteMy usual response to that question has always been a resounding "no"! But after seeing the images that Stana has been posting - images that *show* how fabulously feminine the future can be instead of simply describing it - I'm inclined to think that perhaps there is a limited good use of AI.
ReplyDeleteThe Amazon Prime app has a "style me in this" feature where you upload a photo of yourself and it will us AI to apply the outfit to you. It's far from perfect, but some of them are great
ReplyDeleteDear JJ Atwell: not a big fan of AI remakes of facial photos, as the AI generates a idealized version of the person that makes them look too much like a completely Ai generated photo. However, when it comes to dress instructions, I love the Ai generated black lace dress at the Xmas tree ... You would look great in something like that in a festive environment ... Also like your writing for Stana, please keep that up ,,, gives a nice perspective of dressers out and about
