Playing Dress-Up With AI

JJ’s post on Monday got my gears turning. She wrote about using AI to change the clothes she was wearing in a photo.

That made me wonder: if AI can change a woman’s outfit… could it change a man’s outfit into women’s clothing?

There was only one way to find out.

I typed up the following prompt:

dress this image as a female wearing a dress, high heels, handbag, makeup, jewelry, and a blunt-cut hairdo

Then I fed the prompt to the AI along with a photo of me en homme—and waited.

Voilà!
Wow. Actual, honest-to-goodness magic.

Suddenly, I was a girly boy with a shiny new toy, and self-control went right out the window. Next up, I decided to time-travel. I rewrote the prompt with a distinctly vintage flair:

dress this image as a circa 1959 female wearing a dress, high heels, handbag, makeup, jewelry, and a circa 1959 hairdo

Same photo. New prompt. Fingers crossed.

Wow. Again.

By this point, the evening was a lost cause. I happily spiraled into a full-blown male-to-female AI makeover marathon, tweaking prompts, hopping decades, and asking increasingly mischievous “what if?” questions.

Below are a few of my favorite results—along with the original en homme photo for comparison.

Wow.

(Seriously. How is this not magic?

UPDATE: I used ChatGPT to create the AI images.

  3. I can't be the only here that grew up watching that show and wishing they could be one of those Barker's beauties, can I? There are games and prizes? All I see are dresses and heels that I want to wear!

  6. Interesting AI article - might this lead to more real-life experimentation & transformation after toying with the 'what-ifs' using the power of AI ? Just how far will we be able to go with AI ? Will we witness an increase in femulation ? This could prove to be another positive step forward. On a sperate note, today's EnFemme Funny also makes a very valid point as to why some of us dress & how females of today do respond.

  7. I can see this going in the wrong direction with someone with evil intent. I can also see a wife in a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" marriage satisfying her curiosity as to what her husband may look like without experiencing the "trauma" of the actual event. I have to find a picture from my college days when I was 160 pounds on my six foot frame.

    1. very interesting spin having the wife satisfying her curiosity - I can foresee that becoming quite a common practice as the use & capabilities of AI tools extends into the mainstream. I agree that this may be with evil intent but I can also see relationships developing along different lines after the 'art of the possible'/'the art of desire' is unveiled to a husband by his wife
