Dining Out

Recently, I have been receiving invitations from various financial investment businesses offering me a free dinner if I was willing to sit through their sales pitch on how to handle my retirement savings. I thought about taking up an offer and attending as Stana, but I did not because I was not impressed with the restaurants being offered.

The last invitation I received a few weeks ago was different — I was impressed with the restaurant. It is a dining establishment where I have eaten in the past and was always very pleased with the food. So I RSVP'd and will be going to dinner Wednesday evening.

It should be an interesting experience dining and socializing with a room full of strangers. I will let you know how it goes.

I fell in love with this outfit when I saw it in the daily email advertisement from New York and Company. So much so that I ordered the leggings, cardigan and blouse.

The result of Image-Googling "beautiful crossdresser" is this girl from Chile.

    1. The hat was not offered for sale, otherwise, I would have bought it too, Lee.

  2. I have been to a few of these 'invitation' dinners. Each time I lost money. A dress or a skirt and blouse would be appropriate wear. I even think that the 'Femulate Her' outfit would work fine.

  4. Was the invitation for Stana or your other name? It would be interesting to see their reaction to Stana if they expect to see "other", especially if she's in that fabulous yellow outfit. Test the system to see how they deal with you. We already know hard sales pitches are targeted differently for women and men. Let's see which mode they choose for you.

    1. The invitation was for Stanley. I RSVP'd as Stanley and Stanley will attend fabulously dressed. I am sure they will wonder what's going on. I doubt if they will ask. It should be fun!

  6. Hopefully going as Stana will wrong foot them by making it difficult to decide which sales pitch to use

  7. These so called 'financial advisors' just give me the 'jeebies'. We get these kind of offers constantly, even out here in the 'sticks'. I am quite suspicious of 'expensive suits' selling, well, anything.
I think they are just looking for their (8%-?-) 'churn' on the sale.
As so many financial offers, the 'law of regression to the mean' virtually guarantees they wont do any better than the S&P index, so why do they rate? Demand that they put up a graph of their growth curve against the S&P growth curve, and watch them stammer, and B.S. These guys are sales people, not financial managers. They live off commissions.
BUT do go as Stana and eat their food, which is just part of the 'overhead' of such a business. Velma
