  1. "I want to be a girl" I remember longingly staring at the girly Christmas dresses in the Sears Christmas catalog, I'd dream that Christmas morning they'd all be under the tree with a nod of acceptance from my parents.
Somehow in my dream all would be fixed and I could finally be a girl

    1. When I was a youngster, I did not specifically think about wanting to be a girl. I just wanted to do things that girls did, dress like a girl, act like a girl, etc. So I guess I always was a girl at heart.

  2. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

We are both of the age to understand and appreciate the Christmas outfit worn by Gloria. I love the quality red dress with the matching hat, gloves, purse and pumps all set off with proper pearl necklace and earrings. Nothing not to like in that outfit.

    1. Merry Christmas to your family and to you, Pat, one of my most loyal readers!

My mother dressed up like Gloria back then... not only for Christmas, but every Sunday for church. No doubt about it... I take after my mother!
