feminine skirts and dresses for men

[deleted] is a web site featuring skirts and dresses for men.

There are other web sites featuring skirts and dresses for men. Do a Google search and you will find a bunch.

Being a male-to-female crossdresser, the majority of men's skirts and dresses appearing on those web sites are too masculine for my taste. However, the skirts and dresses on the [deleted] web page are more to my liking. There I find styles that I would feel comfortable wearing in girl or boy mode.

Visit the [deleted] web site and see for yourself.

I am also married and my wife dis-approves. She does however, allow me to wear a nightie to bed for comfort (we sleep in separate bedrooms), and I wear nothing but panties (she lets me because I have to wear a pad). And I love wearing panties, they make me feel feminine while being a man. I also have my own bras, dresses, thigh highs, high heels, wigs, ear rings and make-up which I only wear in secret. I love how women's clothes feel on me! I occasionally wear my girl clothes under my men's clothes when I go out. I love knowing I am dressed as a girl underneath what everyone sees. I wish I had the courage to go out in public completely dressed as a woman.

  9. As a married guy, I love to wear all types of womens clothing. My wife doesnt mind but still hasnt accepted that i should be able to wear what I want when i want in public even though she and the rest of society still expect me to accept that she can wear whatever she wants when she wants to? I equally love wearing my mens clothing as well. I sometimes mix both when going out without being too obvious about it. I should have the right to wear whatever i want, whenever i want to, in any public place without being judged or stereotyped. I long for that day to come soon.

I also love to be dressed as a girl when my wife is gone. I even open the garage door and walk around. I love the sound my high heels make when walking on the cement. I peek out and see if anyone is around, then I walk out on the driveway so people could see me. It is so thrilling to be outside in my girl's clothes! I would love for a woman to see me and want to share with me. I sometimes dream about being a transsexual.

  13. I'm really happy to hear that am not alone in this. Sometimes I go out for a walk in the night when the roads are clear dressed up like a woman. Just to feel the freedom for a while in my long dress and high heels give me so much comfort. Sometimes I hope that I get caught so I stop hiding in this cage.
My girlfriend knows about my crossdressing and she's very ok with it. But she don't know about my night adventures and I don't think she would approve of it at all if she found out. I love though the way she hold me everyday in my silk nightgown when we go to bed. It puts a lot of trust in our relationship.
I want to give a lot of love and credit to her and women out there supporting men like me. I know it's not easy to share your love to us but I ensure you that we only do this for the comfort only. At least I know that's the my case. For the men out there struggling on your own, I pray that you may find the trust in your women and find a way to share you secret with her.
    Most love, A

  16. I am 67 and have been secretly dressing since about 10 or 12 years of age. My wife has found my stash of feminine attire several times so I am currently very limited as to what I have to wear. She obviously does not approve of my indulgence into looking femi-nine, and it definitely hurts and makes me feel as though I should find a female that would like to dress me and let me be her maid, and clean iup after her, etc. I fear that I would end up being alone the rest of my life and I don't want to face that although I sometimes feel as though then at least I could dress how and when I wanted.

I love men in skirts. I've been saying so for years. There is something that so deeply accentuates masculinity when a man wears "feminine" clothing. I mean all clothing women uses with nice stockings, and make the petticoat a little visible, but high heels not too high, because most men are taller than we are anyway. It is very much like the allure of androgyny that happens when a woman wears masculine clothing, and women wear all types of masculine clothing – no exceptions at all as you know. When done just right, it's just plain hot, and makes a man much manly.

i love to dress as feminine as possible, and am so lucky that my girlfriend approves. im so glad i plucked upthe courage to tell her early on in our relationship, shes very supportive and even takes me on shopping trips to choose new clothes which is fantastic, shes really great about it and enjoys seeing me dressed. its a shame we are seen as weirdos or thought of as in the closet gay men. im hetrosexual,a crossdresser/transvestite and happy with who i am. i would recomend to anyone whos is starting out in a new realtionship to pluck up the coruage to tell them after all they get to see and be with the real you and the level of trust it brings to the relationship is fantastic. if she doesnt like it or doesnt want you to dress its her choice though. i love to dress as a girl, i have done from a young age and will for the rest of my life and knowing that feels great!

i hope everyone can find peace in themselves and enjoy their feminine side. take care all

I am wering skirt and dresses.... as a manly man. I've no problem at all, but when I read the comments I have to look around me, inside me, but I couldn't find what you call "feminin". Feminine is a part of the nature in every-body, it is in the feeling, reaction, thinking, but not in clothes, I think.
So, when I wear my skirts or dresses I do t as a man and I do not want look like a girl or women, just a men comfortly dressed in a skirt.
If I want I wear it with stockings but no heels because I want to save m feetand keep them healthy.

I think it is time for men to do something differently. Yes, I mean dressing and doing. I hate the picture en have to watch sports (I love sports, carand computer too, but I am not a male), interested in cars and computer, and do not have to have any feeling for good dressing nd fashion. It is a false picture anyway.
Feminine or masculin has nothing to do with clothes it is the sex of a person. We put it into a role which doesnt exist anymore because of the complete change in the social structure and the purposely created relstionship was an illusion. Skirts just for women is an illusion, too. The result is clear: Skirts are unisex.
What you wear with it, must be in the choice of the wearer. That's all. We can't jugde other people what they wearingor how they dressed -
we have to look first in our mirror, in our body through our eyes and haveto jugde first our own personality.

    I often wear miniskirts.

I once wore a denim fluted micromini and just a thong under, in public. It is amazing just how many girls will lift the skirt quite openly for a better look.
I didn't actually mind too much at the time..

I love to crossdress and have forever. I dress completely from the skin out and enjoy makeup and a wig. The appearance is quite realistic as a woman. I am told I could pass but don't go out dressed, just do so for my own pleasure and comfort. I would love to be able to go where I wanted when dressed but our restrictive society doesn't allow that for men, only for women. Men need to be liberated as women were.

I too love to cross-dress. I would like to offer some of my advice. If you are starting a new relationship, you must tell her early, she will find out anyway, and you can ruin an otherwise beautiful relationship. If she accepts, good for you, if she doesn't, you wouldn't have been happy hiding anyway. I have always told my partners, and only one rejected it altogether. I told her that i understand, and wish her happiness in her own way. Those relationships that did not work out, they were never because of cross-dressing. I have been in my current relationship now for 10 years, and she loves it when I am dressed, makes me do some girly things in public too sometimes, but never anything too drastic, it is mostly an at-home sort of thing. Thanks for reading.

Men can wear skirt with any type,length,etc.. dont worry about shape,etc.. it just normal body shape and clothes. my body shape still pear-shaped for years nothing change as it stay all way as I can feel my hips wee bit wider. I wear black opaque tights, denim short skirt and any top and either flat shoes or boots that look really nice fashion that make me very comfortable also I cant wear men clothes cos of size problems as Im in women clothes size.

  40. I do not wear my skirts on purpose to cross-dress. I am inside and outside a male, married, 5 children, and I wear skirts and kilts on daily basis.
I like the comfort, and since I have to wear support stockings (with garter belt) or pantyhose all the time, I decided to wer skirts because stockings under pants is nothing else than a torture. I also like the freedom between the legs, it is airy and I feel healthier than in pants. That is what I call perfect dressed. High heels? No! Depend on the fabri of the skirts or the temperature I use an under-kilt, also known as slip.
I like it practical and comfortable, that's all.

  41. What you all talking about? I read some about "CROSS-Dressing", then skirt as "girls"-clothes, then "kilts", stockings, high heels????

I want to make clear that some must be cleared out: Skirts are throughout the history male's clothes, adopted by women during French Revolution. Kilts are a kind of skirt, worn in Scotland, for certain forbidden, since this time tranditional clothes. 60% of all men on this world today wearing any kind of skirts and dresses - except "westernized" areas' This non skirt-wearer, called pants-wearer, using the unhaelthiest wardrobe for male bodies ever and with a little bit "luck" they'll catch testicle or prostate cancer, or get stressed through their clothes and get ready for heart attacks. That is the truth about clothes.
Talking about nylons or pantyhose - look back in history, nylons first founded 1908 in Britain for shivering Scotts, but pretty fast adopted by women. Pantyhose? First worn in the years 1618-1648 by soldiers (officers), the fabric was usually silk.
Pants only worn by soldiers in our past because of riding horsebacks. Today we mixing up what seems different, but skirts and dressed were always worn by men too, even FDR got his first pants when he was 10 years old. Kennedy wore skirts in private, would you call all this people cross-dresser. Or, maybe we should be honest and say that women crossdressing the whole time, using ALL KIND of MALE CLOTHING today for their purposes. High heels were worn first only by men. But all that is history, todays realistic situation is, that women can wear all men's "stuff" but men can't (of course they can but they don't want to) because of double standards.
We have not to criticize men in skirts, we have to criticize ourself because of using and kind of double standards when it comes to clothes. We are purposely sexualizing the world and put it in disorder.
There is absolute nothing wrong with men in skirts, they are manly because they are showing up with that they feel, they like (unfortunately a lot of men have to hide their feelings) and what they dislike.
For my understanding it is just no wonder that some men reacting brutal because they are their whole life in a cage throughout what we call social norms. We have to brake away this old thinking.

I agree with a lot of these guys, I am a man who was recently widowed and going through my wifes clothes first i tried on her under ware and I imediatley said this feels better than my under ware. then i tried on her long night shirts and said oh yeah. I don't want to be a girl but I like wearing fem. clothing because it just feels good and free. I to wish people would accept it.

  43. I don't think there is anything wrong with men wearing skirts or dresses. They should also wear the proper under garments (panties or men's speedo type) so as they hang naturally. Boxers mess up the clothing and tighty-whiteys are to bulky. Bras, depending upon the man should be optional since most men do not have breasts. I have been wearing skirts, dresses since I was 11 yrs old and was also taught the proper way to wear these garments.

Sometimes i go to departments stores and take mens clothes to the dressing room then sneak some women's clothes and just try those on in the room. I feel so free wearing a dress and skirt and makeup. I just want my family and friends to see me in them so they can understand me better and accept me. Everyday that there is no one in my house i dress in everything i can find. Its just soooooo amazing to weaar all this stuff. I love it

  46. If a man likes to wear dresses, maybe in pink with flowerprint and combined with stockings and high heels, why should he be a crossdresser? Actually dandy style is fashion for women, and no one says crossdresser!

I am a man, I like to wear skirts, dresses, stockings, heels, ... but I won't be a woman or look like a woman. I just have fun to wear these clothes, but as a man!

  47. Yes, I can understand these men who like to wear skirts instead pants. I am very liberal and I don't think that men have anything to hide. Men can look phantastic in skirts, I can't say the same about some women, so everybody should wear what he/she likes and what really fit's their body.
If we want to continue with this sexualized world we'll getting more and more sex related problems - and more crime.
Men are living in a cage - but that goes back to them because they build their own cage in
past around themselves and forgot to install the "door" to get out again. It's hard to get out now - but they have to do it if they will.... and if they are encouraged enough .... sometimes I doubt it.

Although we never told mom (parents were seperated) or friends, a few of theirs knew alright. This continued into to our teens. Mom caught us one day when I was 19, We were surpeised when she hadnt a problem and left me dress all day in around the house once I did my chores, one day one of moms friend arrived home with her and saw me I almost died with embarrasment. Mom then said she got and Idea of a way for me to make some money, she asked would I do some cleaning at her friends hose, she would pay me and I could do it dressed as girl for some reason I agreed. That was 7 years ago and now I am working as a housemiad full time for 9 of her friends, giving a day at each house. I am delighted as Iam making a living while I am dressed the way I want! as a girl :-)

  52. It is time for men to get the guts to openly show what they are, not hide away from public gaze. I dress feminine about 30% of the time and can go anywhere. I go shopping, to the theatre, to Ladies day at the races, to restaurants etc. I find that nearly all real girls quite enjoy meeting a feminine man. They generally only have aproblem if he is a partner or family. My wife wishes that I wasn't TV but does support me quite well. Sometimes she will go places with me. i really appreciate this as I know she doesn't find it easy.Men are our worst enemies. A lot of men sneer and ridicule their feminine brothers. I think it is similar to Homophobia. It awakens some doubts within them about their own masculinity. These men will always assume that a TV is gay and very few are.I love my feminine side, but I am perfectly happy with me masculine body. I wouldn't dream of having hormones or surgery. I must admit, though, that I am lucky in being not too tall and quite slightly built. Anyway guys, get out their in full view in your frocks. The more commonly people see us the less unusual it will be and the less attention we will attract.

I wear panties everyday of my life and when the opportunity allows I dress up with make-up and skirts. I love wearing bras as well. I just wish I could go out in public with my feminine wear and not be wrongly judged. My wife doesn't like it much but I still wear skirts and all other items when shes around. I am caged and wish I could let the woman in me out.

  54. Just enjoying skirts as a new way to dress, and guys, feeling comfortable. Nothing wrong with men in skirts - it is a unisex wardrobe like pants.
It's heartening to see that the fashion industry is welcoming and incorporating the trend towards skirts and unbifurcated pants for men, though its nothing particularly new. Men have been wearing skirts as long as men have had legs, pants are a relatively recent invention, and not one that should be seen as being definitively masculine anymore than skirts should be seen as being definitively feminine. So, just go with it, you'll find more support than you thought.

“I have come to this country to introduce an entire new state of society; to change from an ignorant, selfish system to an enlightened social system which shall gradually unite all interests into one and remove all causes for contest between individuals” (Robert Owen, 1827)

  60. I think it's not a question if a man feels a little bit feminine, it is about comfort for male bodies. And it isjust true that no other garment can fit men better than skirted style clothes. We have to accept that and we have to see what fashion desingers will create for men.
Looking manly is not about the dressing style, it's about the behavior and the body.

  61. I am a married man. Once I had this nasty heat-boil on inner side of thigh and I couldn't wear pants for 2 days. Fortunately it was wkend and I did not have to go out. I ended up borrowing a nighty from a female friend as I felt that was comfortable. I enjoyed it a lot and when I got married after sometime I spoke to my wife and now I am wearing nighties to sleep pretty much everyday. Although she does not like it but agrees that it gives us more access to each other :). I really think that it has nothing to do with being feminine. It is just about being comfortable. In a hot summer day I would rather wear a skirt with nice breeze to cool you down than wearing a pant. But I guess community is still not enough receptive of these ideas. This is not about being a girl, this is about being a man and I beleive a man will be a man irrespective if what he wears.

  62. Sure, a man will be a man ever if there is not a operational change. It is just stupid to think clothes can change anything in a human.
It is only very 'normal' that men want to change their clothes! Or, for instance, would you eat or drink every time all time the same?
I don't believe that, so the body will tell you what he likes. It is not the way that your brain makes the first decision, it is your body. Just listen to him, and you'll find what your body wants.
    Besss

  63. Okay Bess, of course I would not eat every day the same. But people do not think about such simplified examples. There is still in some brain the meaning that skirts are feminine even it is well known it is original a male's garment. But we have to see what it is today, and it is not doubt that women carried skirts on until today. All others is history, we should learn from history and in this case we must agree that men can wear skirts.
Nothing is wrong with that if we can understand that we talking about equality between the sexes (not gender). It is only the way to go, which is not clear, too many men are still not encouraged for that new way of dressing.
And skirts can look very good on men, I personally would recommend shave the legs and wear stockings, but that is a decision which men have to make.

I am not going with more feminine style for men. Men can wear skirts and dresses, of course, but in their own style. And everybody would look differently in it.

I know that the skirt for instance is originally a male's garment, but it counts what was happen in near past. And women continued wearing skirts after French
    Revolution, men stopped wearing it.

About stockings or heels or something they like. As said, everybody looks different in this clothes, men have to try it. I believe, 50% of men can't wear skirts or dresses, because looking funny in it.
I am not worried that men stepping in this new era, I think it was time for a change.

when driviing long distances it is much more comfortable to wear a skirt instead of trousers.
In my opinion it shouldn't be about dressing like a women as they do the contrary by wearing trousers, but being yourself, thus being comfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think it is great for a guy to wear a skirt. Skirts are very comfortable; I wear them all the time on vacation and would wear them more often if they were more socially acceptable. They are cooler than shorts in summer and a long skirt is just as warm in the winter. More of us guys have just got to say "the h*** with it" and just start wearing them.

Of course, skirts are comfortable, they are also practical and much more variable wearing in combination. And the best: Skirts are gender-less, except you make it up to gender specific wardrobe.
If so, please be honest and see the history that skirts are an orignally male garment, and pants were worn first by women.
    So what?
Would men finally begin to think about that a skirt is more healthier for his body he would switch and leave behind pants.

I'm 68 now, but fit and still shapely. When I am alone for long enough I simply adrore to raid my secret 'femme' stash and climb into the whole works: Forms & bra, flesh-coloured tight foundation panties and sheer shiny tights & courts, make-up, earrings/ necklace and flowing long wavy wig, then a range of gorgeous skirt-suits, blouses & skirts, or best of all...a sophisticated skating dress, which is a leotard with glorious flowing organza-frilled skirt and similar long sleeves. I find this supremely sexy...I prance around our house and grounds photographing myself and enjoy viewing and editing the results.

  71. Skirts aren't feminine because it is originally a men's garment. But women kept going with different styles of clothing (men's clothing) and found many many wonderful options. When men re-starting wearing skirts they have to find their own style which should be not related to women's dressing. There are a lot of additional possibilities such as stockings/hose for men too. I do not see a "cross-dressing" because cross-dressing means original different color-dressing, and not a sexualized way of dressing.

  74. To those who have come before me.
Skirts are not crossdressing. I have custom made skirts made for me at skortman.com . I have been wearing skirts and dresses for years. I don't try to pass as a girl/woman. They are comfortable,
allow me to take a full step (long legs)and enjoy the cool breezes upon my legs.
To the 14 yr. old (comment 8/12/2010). Wear your skirts, go outside, you will find as long as you are presentable no one will care. Also look into skorts. In some countries boys are allowed to wear skorts for P.E. (gym class).
Go to www.marcusuniforms.com , they carry skorts in Navy Blue, Khaki (tan) and Black (boys colors). They carry sizes 7 to 20
in childrens sizes. Look at the. size chart for your waist measurements. The best part is that they are only $7.00 each.

  75. Of course, skirts are gender- less because all what was former men's dress is genderless - and skirts are ONLY former men's clothes because women in past wore ONLY more comfortable dresses.
Men try to get out their own cage, and that's totally okay.
Robert, I think men should not find an excuse when they want to wear differently - they have to do it as a MAN, and it doesn't matter what kind of skirt they want to wear. Also, pantyhose, etc. Are just an addition for looking or feeling good, nothing else, and has nothing to do with "gender-bender" or other new created words. I love to see men in skirts, and I am flexible enough (67 years) to see the reality.

  76. I just want to say that I wear skirts & dresses all of the time because I have to wear support hose or pantihose due to blood cloting in my legs. It is just too hot to wear pants with those on. I go out into public all of the time and have never had a problem or a comment.

I like them too as they are much cooler and much better for my health. I have read all of the comments here and some of you just don't have the guts to go for it. Well, I say to you "JUST DO IT!!!" Please do not worry what others think, it is only one persons oppion anyway.

Men, you will feel much better if you face your fears and pick out the right clothes. I have to go to the big ladies store as I am a very big person. I don't have anyone to go with me as I am single so nobody to put me down at home. The ladies in the store were very helpful. If you don't think that you can do a skirt or dress, you should at least try panties. I have tried boxers (male) and breifs too, and they all bunch up and pinch. I was told to try panties and wa-la no more pinching. I buy these on the internet.

I also have back pain (lower & upper) so I asked my doctor and she recomended to wear gridles and a bra. Well, it really worked. I don't have any more pain, so, I wear them most of the time. I will admit they are a little more trouble when using the toilet, but I don't mind as it gets rid of the pain. As I said I am a large man, so I do fill a bra mighty well.

Well, just wear and be happy...

I do it since I have found out, that skirts are originally a male garment only, never used by women before French Revolution. Same with pantyhose, Italien soldiers in 16th century used it firts, changed tpo leggings.

But I like skirted garments, too. The reason that I came to that was an accident which does not allow me anymore to wear pants.
It is ridiculous thar some narrow minded people in our society calling men in skirted garments gay or something like that. It shows their minimal education. To be gay is a sexual orientation and has nothing to do with the kind of dressing. It is great that some gay men write in this blog.

Back to the reason for that blog: "feminine skirt for men" says very clear that the skirt isn't a female garment only, and that is absolutely correct. And for sure, pants are not a typically male's garment (wasn't nor isn't). A little bit different the story about dresses because there are two different kind of dresses in past: Long and flowing dresses were always -and in most cultures, too- women's garment, short dresses (we would call it today Mini-dresses) were men's garment, mostly used by soldiers. Representatives in past wore only robes.
And all was changed after the French Revolution, and now France made the first step to bring the skirt back to men with J.P. Gaultier in the 1980"s.
In case of equality both sexes should wear whatever they like, and of course, females will have their own style, just pretty, men will use their style looking once and handsome.
No restriction anymore........ hmm, wouldn't that be nice.

  87. Great site!
As a married man I have had the pleasure of wearing skirts and dresses for decades. When we first were married we used to shop together for skirts and buy identical skirts just for fun. It got a bit expensive so my wife taught me how to sew. Since that time I have made all my dresses, of which I own 20 of them, and most of my 50 skirts. I wear my dresses and skirts with petticoats underneath and tights. When my wife cooks dinner, I usually wear a nice dress for dinner and sometimes paint my nails in a matching color. I am not sure however if this behavior puts me in an effeminate class of men, because I am a heterosexual man with lots of other hobbies.

  88. Nothing to add: look about the women's poll "men in skirts, weird or wonderful" and you'll find the answer. 864 found it weird, 112,000 voted for wonderful, 45,000 voted that everybody should wear what he like.
It's only one poll, there are more, and it shows that it is time to extent men's wardrobe. It doesn't mean make them girlish, it's only to give men the same rights and possibilities to express their own personality without restriction. Whatever men will wear, they are still men, same as women already do with menswear, they are still women. Easy to understand,....... I mean, for myself. Mara

And so I Wear what I want like she is doing it, it might be possible that I have some "feminine" looking skirts in my closet, but I wear it as a man, and that's the only thing which counts naturally. What other people think about is their problem, not mine.
If men like acting or dressing like a women, it is their problem, I don't like it for myself but I Respect EVERYBODY like he/she is because they are responsible for their own.

  92. I just can't understand that men always find excuses for that what they want to do.
In short: Tehy don't have to find any excuse except for the reason staying healthy. A skirt for every men is recommended because:
    1. decrease the risk of prostate cancer
    2. decrease the risk of testicle cancer
    3. more air is flowing through the lower part of the body which helps:
    a. keep legs airy and the reproduction organs in cooler temperature, therefor men do not need any additional supplements for sexual life, and in fall/winter/spring time legs absorbe more sunlight giving the body more Vitamin A
    4. Skirted garments provide much more comfort for the male body than any kind of pants.

I remarried two years ago and told my wife about my feelings about a year ago and she has warmed up to the idea more and more ever since. She does not get excited (I don’t think) but she enjoys my getting excited. We dress up together in private; I do not trust society’s response to my leaving the house. 96. I learned that a skirt isn't a typically female garment because it has it's roots clearly by men. Even not stockings or pantyhose originally feminine as they were worn first by soldiers in 16/17 century but women all carried out skirts and stockings/pantyhose/leggings until today and kept them alive. Fine undergarments. In the past unisex, have now a clearly fem touch and in most brains it is female clothing. When men wearing it today they might feel more feminine but I think it is more the brain which makes the change.
In past men wore only silky underwear and skirted garments because it was a sign of wealth and abundance, poor people and most of soldiers wore pants, mostly without underwear (horseback-riding).
When imwear my skirts today -during cold seasons with pantyhose - most people like it and I can hear comments like "manly guy" or "fashionable", etc. It is like i am really feeling. I think it must be the brain which makes the difference.

I'm thelogicgod01 at yahoo. I'm 58 and have been xdressing since I was 11 I just love feeling smooth, soft & sexy. I honestle believe that anyone who feels those stockings over their smooth & soft legs, well, they just won't try it because they don't want to have to admit how sexy they would feel. But I think it's in all of us.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Sorry, I don't get it. Being a female has not much to do with dressing, I think people mix that up. Smooth stockings are not just for females, but they were the first wearer because they like to be treated with soft fabrics and also want to look beautiful. Everybody can go the same.

Men in past were educated that they should not feel the soft side in their body just to be strong, and some people called that manly. Just stupid, but it was purposely made up and nothing to do with the real nature of men. Men can and do feel like women in the same way that women can feel somehow like men when they are educated that way.

Skirts and dresses were in past for both sexes, but only women kept them as their part of dressing, men put all skirted garments in the drawer female and called it weak.
But it is a truth that the strongest men and soldiers were skirted Scots (I.e. WW I - "devils in skirts"), nothing about weakness at all. So, all what we are talking about is nothing else than a special made-up story. Who wore first stockings with garter belt? Soldiers. Who used leggings first? Men, and who's garment was a short skirt and dress? Only men, so what is x-dressing than?

  100. You are absolutely correct! Once a woman told me that anything a woman wears today, men wore in the past, save the bras. The problem is that indeed, men in the western society have been brought up to act and think that they cannot behave like females because that shows weakness. It is about time that we change that false images and let men be men no matter what they wear, feel or think.

  101. Nomen est omen. No single dictionary in the world will tell you that a skirt or a dress is a female garment!! What you might read is nothing else that skirts and dresses are mainly USED by girls and women. If you follow the say way with pants, even not that comes up who uses mostly, it is explained what it is, a cover.
All is just made up in some heads. A skirt is hanging from the waist downwards (except it is very windy), it is a garment, no more.
X- dressing etc. isn't a change of dressing, it is nothing else than using opposite colors, originally spoken. Again, that is a made-up term we are using without thinking or reasoning. If somebody feels he/she ( I am foxing with equality) likes to dress what they like, it is fine and should be accepted by everybody, because it is the body of the wearer who likes it, not the body of people who watching and then judges it.

I love wearing skirts, pantyhose, and heels. I will add dresses to my wardrobe in the near future as well. My only hope is that I can find a job where I can dress this way without fear of losing it, so I can throw away my pants for good.

  103. Where please is the problem? Women already wearing ALL items which were in mens closets in past. What difference does it make to you when you wearing what you like? Be honest to yourself and your body because you have only this one.

There are endless possibilities when you ad some parts ourt of female wardrobe to yours -but please, don't say that skirted garments (long dresses excluded) are females garment - you know that is wrong because they were for 30,000 years males garments only-, so really show up with your creativity and innovation to wear you like.
Look to the pictures at that website, does it look beautiful? Yes, and the women too, because clothing makes a man (and women of course). Just try to slip out of your tide gender-role skin and start a new life.... as an equal human.

I am fortunate to have a job wear I can wear skirts, nylons and heels to work and not be criticized or made fun of. In fact most of the women I work with are very supportive and encourage it. I work as a hair stylist in a very popular salon. It is great. In fact I wear skirts and Nylons everyday, probably more than most of the women. There is an older stylist who wears them a lot as well. She really dresses well. So, yes I encourage you to just do what you desire the most. I felt uncomfortable at first, but now I don't even think about what people might say. Most people are extremely supportive. I even wear stockings as well.

  108. I do not cross-dress whatever people mean with that. But I wear skirted garments daily as my outerwear with shirt and tie, and even I did not like it first I am wearing it with pantyhose and stockings and nice panties because of my wife. She and our two daughters said if you want to wear skirts and dresses you must be aware of wind blows and people which want to know what I am wearing under as a man.
And it should just look good under your skirt, and your legs should be covered and give a sense of tan because of my "cheese-colored"-legs, that would look ugly.
So she went to different stores and shopped for me, came up with some pink and apricot panties out of women's department and a garter belt with stockings. She smiled and said it's better for your comfort - and for mine. Huh, I was shocked first time but after I tried it on it wasn't bad but felt strange. Today, after 7 years, 27 more skirts and 5 dresses, and wearing it every day I feel that most men missing something good on their body.
The interesting thing is that I never got one bad comment, men mostly say nothing, women usually more open and give some words to me like "great, neat, looking good on you, terrific, etc." and only one time obiously women want to now what I am wearing under. I saw that three women out of a department store where waiting down at an escalator, talking and staring at me when I came downwards. I believe they couldn't see anything so they gave up.
Since I am wearing skirted garments more than pants I feel much more "free", my family and my wife said I would look younger and happier, and I would joking much more.
What shall I say more? This change turned to my best and everybody likes it, especially my wife. It also shows clearly that restrictions are only in the head of some people.

I think a lot of men just want to wear skirted garments which makes sense because of their body shape. Pants are exactly opposite what men usually should wear, but that's the prize of fashion.
More and more men using skirts today and I think it is appropriate that men should wear proper underwear, in other words, panties when using skirts. Depend on the type of men and style of the skirt they should wear tights, too, otherwise men should shave legs. It makes it nicer and skirts have a kind of elegance.

Just as women successfully overcame the barrier between male and masculine to wear pants or trousers (depending on what side of the pond you come from), so men need to overcome the barrier between female and feminine. Skirts are feminine, not the preserve of the female state. I wear skirts or kilts often and yes, feminine underwear, but I am not female, just sometimes more feminine. We all worry far to much about gender issues.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Different opinions about this issue. For myself a skirt isn't feminine at all, but women can express their femininity with skirts, dresses, pants and whatever. The same with men. They can express their masculinity with that what they wear and both sexes express their PERSONALITY through HOW they wear the wardrobe.
I can't call a woman dressed in an old skirt or dress specially feminine because of the outerwear style nor can I call a man masculine in an oversized suit.
I don't know what people think when they talking about women's or men's underwear because there is only some kind of underwear typically for one gender because of practicability not because of fabric or color.
If we make that all some easier we would not sexualize clothes and would use clothing like it is: pieces to feel good in and be covered in an appropriate style. Feeling well is the no. 1!

  117. Hey US soldier, you're a part of the society, you are be able to change it if you really like to do it. Wear your skirts whenever you like, there are no laws against it, and if you watch a little bit the fashion recommendation(s): skirts are hot for men.
But keep in mind that men's style are for men, women's for women. Skirts are very good for men's health and comfort, no doubt.

As everybody now can see, there are so many different feelings, thoughts and possibilities which made clear that we cannot push individuals in one direction or in a cage like we do sometimes when we direct men and their way to dress.

  120. I agree. I just want to dress comfortly. Women have their own dress rules, their own style, fabrics, pattern etc. and men have to learn going their own way in dressing with skirted garment. I don't like to dress up as a women.

What is the most important thing in every bodies life? Feeling very well in their "skin" , in other words feeling well and be healthy. And what is the most healthiest clothes for men and the most comfortable? Just guess if you don't know the answer. A skirt - no kidding, it is true!

It is true as said, a skirted garment is best for male anatomy. Just the question why men do not follow the simplest way to go comfy dressed. Instead writingnthousands of blog they just should do what they want. We have tomadopt to it anyway, we did it with this boring outfit called suit in past and we will do it when wearingnskirted garments.

It is just this step they have to go, each travel starts with one step. Waiting and talking doesn't help much.

I love wearing women's clothes. Seems that at age of 6 I saw some of my mothers sundress on a bed, this was back in the early 80s, and put them on. From that point, I started wearing women's clothes. It came to the point that I made mom at age 12 buy me some dresses so that I wouldn't be putting on her clothes. I also then put on some of my aunt's clothes without her knowing when she was pretty young. She is like 49 now so this was back when she was in her 20s and I was between 9 and 14. I used to go to her place and walk into her closet and take stuff in my backpack. Then as I started working I started buying clothes from ebay, jcpenny, dillards, khols and a vintage website called etsy. And I bought underware, headbands, jewlery, and other women clothes. Tried many times to grow my hair out and failed to keep it long. So now I had to buy a wig. But sometimes I just don't care. Wear dresses, Skirts, cardigans, blouses, women shirts, and cargo pants and women's overalls because I like them. In High school wanted to imitate the hot girls. Nowdays I like imitating celebrities and women on tv and women I see in my everyday life. I like a mix between looking like a nice woman from about 1987 and a teen girl from today. I just like expressing my feminie side from time to time. Get bored of wearing just pants or shorts. I especially get excited when I see tv's Kelly Ripa wears cute dresses. Makes me want to keep cross dressing.

I've been wearing my Housemaid's Uniform Dress both at home and when sent on errands for my Mistress/Wife. She prefers to keep me as a, "guy in a dress," than, "trying to pass."

I still need to use my, "closet," as I still work two part-time jobs.

Yes, I would like to see a world where everyone could dress as the please.

In the mid 70's my wife decided to dress me en femme and I found that I loved it, but after about a week she changed her mind and had me stop. Sointo the closet I went and dressed when she was out of town or gone for awhile. Last year I broached the subject of her being my mistress and after a day or so she agreed to be, Now I am her Sissy and take care of all her needs around the house and have never been happier. She keeps me in panties everyday and am to wear female clothing around the house, when cleaning she has me totally en femme. It is wonderful, she even takes me shopping for dresses and woman's clothes. It was awhile coming but is marvelous to be her Sissy

  132. I can read the outcry of some of you want to wear whatever you like. If you are a male then take the advantage and do what we are doing in the past 60 years. Be yourself and don't hesitate to show up with your real person in the real world.
That's it what we are expecting to learn and see about you, and not just a marionette - puppet on strings enough around - and be honest to yourself.

  133. I have several favorite outfits. I love to wear pleated skirts - above the knee and layered chiffon dresses with matching ruffled panties. My favorite is a square dance outfit ith three 30 yard petticoat. I almost always wear ultra-shear stockings (stay-ups). I love the feel of the chiffon or petticoats brushing across my legs. I always wiggle my hips to enhance the effect. Frillies always make me feel so feminine.

I repressed it for years at the cost of my own mental health and well being. My wife approves and came out to my immediate family who love me dearly, like a load of bricks is off my shoulders for so many years. I went on a shopping spree and am well stocked for many comfortable days ahead. I love to embrace my femininity as I think i am 50+% female. It gives me a feeling of being my true self and love all the makeup, lingerie, heels etc. Shopping in womens sections is easy, no one seems to care. Life is great.

  139. I have a fetish for nylons and heels. This started at about 11 yrs. old and had continued all my adult life. I am in my early 60's The thought of two men making love repulses me and I have never had any homosexual relationships. I do not think that most people understand that the majority of cross dressers are straight. My wife found some of my things years ago and treated my like I was a pervert or a murderer. I hurt me that she was so hurt and angry about it. I like manly things as good as the next man and wish society did not have such mores about personal behavior. I do not know where or how it started in me, but I know I can not stop it.When my wife is gone, I enjoy watching tv in hose panties and heels. Sometimes I put on long nails. You know, as they sat whatever floats your boat. The point is that it is MY BOAT and if you do not like it, just keep it the hell to yourself. If you dug deep enough, the finger pointers have secrets too that many of us would think strange.

  140. Never wanted to be a female, just to feel feminine, with the emphasis on "feel", as in silk and satin clothing. While I love to wear slips, panties, camisoles, skirts and blouses, I'm not into wigs or make-up or heels. I hate pantyhose but the thought of nylons and a garter belt sends shivers up my you-know-what.

When i am at home alone (As wife does not accept my fetish) i make my face up and adore the look of red lipstick on my lips, then i go to my secret wardrobe and put on my sexiest lingerie with stockings, i simply adore wearing stockings are they are so feminine, then a nice skirt and top or a dress and my wig. I go about the house like this and my wife always knows as my stilleto leave marks in the carpet, but she does not say anything as long as i dont do it in front of her.

Today I am a cross dresser par excellence, because I do wear pants, suit, shirt, tie sometimes, vest... actually all what supposed to be in man's closets. Yes, I have some skirts, too, but skirts are also a typically men's garment until women borrowed it from them.
So what? Shall we better talk about that we are doing something wrong in our brain?

I like it ! Whats the price.' The look on the other womans face was priceless. I don't think she ever heard any man talk so open and freely about a skirt for himself By the way the skirt was $54 and it was marked down to $5.40 but at the register it rang up $4.05. 154. I tend to hide it but go for a borderline approach, boots i suggest go for gothic or ugg (which are very popular in Asia i may say), as for make-up, ideally go for the gothic colours - red, black, blue, purple and dark green as you wont be hated as much. Clothes - trousers, tights (under trousers), leggings are ok - but skirts be wary. Dresses are a no. Shirts, blouses are fine as long as the blouses are black. Try to emulate the gothic, scene or emo style.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Nobody has to be ashamed about the own personality and I think that nobody should hide what they are. That is the real life to accept each other in that way he or she is. And that makes the world so unique and wonderful.
I see necessity to uniform soldiers and groups of pele who needs to identify each other (I.e. Police, etc) But I think it is not necessary to dress uniform to identify the same gender or sex.
I know some people think that way but never they could see another way to think.
If somebody like to dress differently ... It is just great, and in my understanding in our world of today everybody has to accept that.

  156. I am a heterosexual guy, who loves to embrace his feminine side. I love women, but I also love womens' clothes and I love wearing them. Sometimes I fantasize about having a sweet, feminine girlfriend, who doesn't mind my femming up.

I crossdress in private. Sometimes I'll wear a womens' garment in public if it isn't very obvious, although I have taken walks at night in very feminine clothes.

I love fabrics that are very, very soft, lightweight, slippery, and have beautiful drape and fold. Silk has been my favorite fabric for the longest time (esp. sand-washed, crinkle & charmeuse-type raw silk).

Billowy and batwing are my favorite sleeves. Anything over-sized, but I'll also wear form-fitting, button-down shirts made a soft, stretch cotton.

I have some full-length skirts made of an incredibly lightweight silk, which I love, and I love my skinny jeans, too.

If they fit right, womens' clothes can be incredibly comfortable, and I feel very sexy and relaxed in them. Most mens' clothes, except for a few International Male products, just don't give me that satisfaction. Mens' clothes are just so boring in comparison.

I love wearing perfume, too, but no musks. I'll wear lip gloss as well.

  163. I really did not understand what is the problem with a man likes wearing skirt? Why cannot boys show the joys of wearing skirts in the public, if someone like me, strongly desires them?

Look at the fashion trends today, look at the visual society around you! More and more unisex styles are adding on females' wardrobes more than ever!! Some super brand designers even made a whole entire womenswear collection purely consisting of jackets with beautiful beading work and skinny unisex trousers that you can throw on any of a man's body, and it does not make you feel awkward.

That's right, girly girls are vanishing while most of the guys still unaware of how poor their fashion choices are...That is a truly sad story.

Does anyone feel unfair of being boys but being treated like this? If not that many, I do, at very least.

The fact is, if girls can put more and more unisex garments on them without making defensive comments against public negative awarenesses, why we guys can not even give a goal to the opposite route while out of worrying the environment turning against us when we are doing so?

However, there are so many guys being so brave that had tried to wear skirts while attending public events who are not professionally designing fashion, while I am a fashion designer, but being shamed for not being a part of these pioneers especially I feel the same way as much as they do.

After reading this blog, I had an idea. I will STOP wearing pants and starting wearing skirt, and stay ups in public until majorities accepted them as unisex clothes, then I would wear pants again.

Females who had been laughed at the public wearing trousers 60 years ago fought their rights with a non-stop long journey before brought it into public acceptances. If I wear skirt in public would be laughed at by those who do not have enough knowledge to understand it, so be it.

If previously, I had a terrible fear of being shamed to talk to someone I really adore at the first time while dressing skirt would make her turn back on me, or being glanced by a gorgeous girl with an uncomfortable reaction that would make me upset, now they will vanish all.

Since I have being alone for quite a while. I am too understand the comforts a skirt is. That is what I truly love and enjoy pleasing myself to wear them, there is nothing worse than not wearing them bravely. I shall be the part of the revolution soon!

    Start tomorrow...

  165. Hello! My name is Joseph, I am a 19 year old feminine boy. I have a girlfriend who is completely comfortable around me being dressed as a girl (except for sometimes). My passion is to be a model that many, many men and young boys can look up to in terms of being the way you are as a man who loves to look sexy like a woman. To be honest, i was surprised to find out how many straight men struggle with this issue even more than gay men. Even though we are all the same, it seems like if a straight man wants to look fabulous, glamorous and sexy it's not right culturally. Well guess what people, it's happening all over the world! I want to be the model that tells everyone that and says that a man like me can look just as good as Nicki Minaj, and be an even better role model than Jeffree Star. So if anybody has any opportunities for me to get out there please let me know via facebook profile immediately. Or if anybody just wants to talk about their struggle I'm always free to talk about it! Also, if you think I'm hot please like my photos! Thank you to anyone who views this comment. My wife and I have been married for years and we are totally secure in our relationship, and she allows me to dress at home. I do venture out though. At times quite by accident. I just get dressed up, a little makeup and do my hair (I'ts long and down my back) and I have jumped in the car to get something at the store and realized I am all dressed up. I go to the store anyway. I am semi or mostly passable. I don't want surgery, or to go on hormones, or to become a woman. I just want to be myself, just as women today can be themselves and wear anything they want to wear. I mean, if you see several women standing around in a bar with jeans and tshirts on, do you suspect them of all being lesbians? Then why does society thing a guy in a nice dress, or skirt and blouse, is gay? I love women and I love my wife. I just want to wear her clothes and jump her bones. Parting shot, wearing a sun dress in the summer that is brightly colored with white 3" heeled sandals makes me feel very nice and comfortable. And I like the way it flares out as I walk down the aisles at Ralphs or vons. I have had women compliment me on my choice of styles and colors. Even a couple have said they wich they could get their husbands into a dress

  176. I may be different than the others here. My older sister started me dressing when I was 5 years old. It wasn't long before I became more comfortable in a dress then boy clothes. It was a problem all my life growing up My older sister kept encouraging me while my mother kept scolding me. Sometimes my sister would dress me up and i would go out and play with the other kids in the neighborhood. This went on until I was 10 years old. I started buying my own dresses with my paper route money from the Veterans Thrift store when I was 12. Over the years I have cleaned out and purged, only to go out and buy dresses again. I am married and so far my loving wife is ok with it. She wants me to keep it in the house. unfortunately when I am dressing every day at home as I work from the house, I tend to forget what I have on and have gotten to Vons and Ralphs and well, I'm there so i go in and buy the groceries. But, I have gotten several compliments from other women. many asked me how they could get their own husbands into a dress. I will say this, nothing os more wonderful than walking down the store aisles in a sun dress that is full, and the sound of my heels clicking, and my long hair flowing. Although I am mostly passable, I have no desires to have SRS or take hormones. I just love dressing up. I don't like the stereotypes though. When you see a group of women in boys jeans and t-shirts, we don't assume they are all lesbians. So why do we suspect that when you see some men in womens clothes that they are all gay? Nothing is more sensual then wearing satin lingerie and making love to my wife. One day, we will be able to wear dresses anywhere.

  179. I am a white male, tall, slender, blond and green eyes. I have loved to dress as a female every since I was a small boy about 4 years old. I think it is awesome the way women have so many things to dress up in. It is unlimited, expressive and very creative. LIke art. It is fun to go all out and see how good I can look. I am still a normal guy too. I adore women 100%. I am not bi or gay and never will be. If any woman would like to contact me my email address is MyTecSN@aol.com. I will answer all females.

  181. The people i have same in contact with...95% of the females that talk to about this,of many age's love what i wear.Just recently,i was coming out of my grocery store, there were 3 females going into the store,at the same time, one yelled back to me after we already past each other,
"Hey,i really like your outfit"i then said to her,"Thanks" then she said "you are welcome, you look so cool" that sure put a smile on my face.So can you guess the age of this female that said this ? Well,
she was in the age range of 13-17....she could of easly said a derogatory comment, but she didnt. So this goes to show ya,and prove
    what i say.But i know,not ALL females like a guy in a skirt,and i understand that.For me to wear a skirt is like putting on socks,dont
give it much thought. It feels totally natural to me to be in a skirt.
When people are unsure, they will say to me "nice kilt",i will kindly say to them, "This is actually a skirt,a kilt is a TYPE of skirt"
I think they say that for fear of offending me,lol...
Clothes are a personal expression in clothing style and personality. Wear what you feel comfortable with and let's stop gender discrimination. I enjoy wearing skirts. Most people are fine with that.Usually the few who have a problem with men wearing skirts (a kilt is same diff)are loud bullyish men who lack confindence in their own sexuality and cover up their insecurity by attacking others.

  182. I'm wearing a nice pair of champagne colored shaping briefs right now as I type this at my desk at work. I love to dress in satin-y and silky underthings in secret, but I do so wish that my wife would discover me one day and encourage it in our sex lives.

    1. I would welcome my wife's assistance in feminizing my wardrobe but I don't think that will happen. My wife and I are in love and I believe both of us would feel "bad" if I began to cross-dress in front of her. Men must play role in life and it is unacceptable for a man to be feminine (weak). My wife seeing me in a skirt or a dress might diminish her perception of me and I don't want that... I wish I could wear pretty things and feel envious of women who have that privilege.

  184. Men sometimes like the silky feeling of slips, pantyhose , beautiful purple ,royal blue and white patent leather high heels in moderation. If they HAD to wear these confining and tight pantyhose and foundation and all that, they would not wish to. some feel that they feel attractive and pretty. This is expensive .time consuming and bothersome. But once in a while they derive pleaqsure fr9m it. I do P/T. But every day? No way.

  185. I guess for most of my life, I have always felt that I was living in the wrong body, guess we all say that at one time or another. For me it started as a child wearing my mothers sister lingerie, she was only three years younger than myself and I loved the feeling and actually comfortable with myself.

As time progress, I suppressed my feelings, as society demanded that I be who I was physically, but the feelings I enjoyed still lingered. As I grew older and went out of town on business, my first stop in a new town was to buy my lingerie and wear it while working. At the end of my business trips, which usually lasted for weeks and sometimes months, I got to enjoy the feels I had as a child.

My wife never knew of my proclivities, and recently as all wives do, she wants to talk about the lack of sex in our lives. I never had a high sexual appetite and I could be just fine with not having sex, but for her she felt I didn't love her. I do love my wife, but keeping hidden the things I enjoy in life, would shock her to no end, so I've kept them hidden. She believes that doing what I enjoy means there is something seriously wrong with me.

I've thought about seeing a therapist and telling her how I feel, but I'd need to explain how I love the shape of a woman and wish that it was me. I look at women on TV and in public and admire how they dress and the fact that they get to have something that I must keep hidden, WHY.

Can anybody give me some insight as to how I should proceed?

    1. Just tell you your wife you want your own dress to wear around the house and let her suggest on on line that would suit your completion, let her open the parcel and put it on you, don't forget the underwear. Then give her one if she gets turned on.

  187. Robert Zovath, I am nearly a carbon copy of your situation. I too had feelings of female from childhood, wore the lingerie and makeup when noone was home. As I grew older, they feelings never left. I too never had a high sexual appetite and my wife does not understand. We have gone as much as 7 months without sex. I too love my wife of 10yrs very much, and tried to explain to her about wanting to dress in fem clothing, but was met with massive negativity (to put it nicely). So I do dress in full lingerie and skirts and dresses when she is not home. I hide them as not to be found. The internet is a great place for women's clothing of all types. Now don't get me wrong, I do hate to hide anything, but until there is a compromise or understanding of some sort on either part of us, the clothing will remain hidden. I don't know what would happen if she would accidently find my secret treasure, but I try not to let that situation arise.I lay in bed many nights wondering why I wasn't born a woman. I just take this day by day.
