Re Cartoon: What we have is a modern King Louis XIV. He wore 5 inch heels, and in a famous portrait it shows him lifting up the skirt of his dress to show his stockings and the fancy lining of the skirt. I have only 6 pairs of heels as I'm not Imelda Marcos. Last year on a 5 day outing, I packed 4 dresses, one pair of heels and no tiara John
Yes, overpacking is an occupational risk for the travelling femulator. Going away for a couple of days in Britain, I wouldn't go heavy on the stilettos. Maybe one pair of stilettos, block heels for our infernal pavements, ballerinas, knee-high boots and, if it is summer, either wedges or sandals. A tiara though, that is an accessory that I haven't yet acquired. Penny from Edinburgh.

DeleteOne must never be without an emergency tiara JJ
ReplyDeleteGiven you're retired, what differentiates a vacation from day to day living?
