Health News

I had a colonscopy this morning and I am very happy with the results: no issues, no problems, no nothing. My Pop’s life was cut short at age 66 by colon cancer, so I have been getting tested every five years, more or less.

This has been my fourth time getting scopied – last time, they found some polyps that they removed during the procedure. Today, they found nothing! I have to say that the day before prepping for the test is no fun, but getting positive tests results makes up for it!

And so it goes.

Wow, it's amazing how similar our lives are sometimes. We must even share some DNA? My father, brother, and grandfather all passed away from colon cancer at similar ages (66, 68, and 64, respectively). Just like you, I get screened every few years – it's due again this year, like many of our friends. Some people might find the test annoying, but I see it as a lifesaver! So glad you got great results. Sending you a big sister hug! - Paula G

And this is why we all need the dreaded camera in the butt exam. I am 61 and they found a full on cancer, with 2 sites looking to go bad. Luckily had most of my colon removed and doing preemptive chemo. Am so glad to hear you are all clear!
