Christopher Morley Redux

In response to my recent post here about actor and female impersonator Christopher Morley, I received the following e-mail:

"I have been curious for some time about what has become of Christopher Morley... she was such a wonderful and successful performer and seems to have disappeared in the last fifteen years. Any idea where she has gone... is she still performing?"

I researched the matter and can not find anything recent about Christopher Morley. Morley's last known appearance was on an episode of the TV series Boy Meets World in October 1998 Roseanne in December 1995. If anyone has more current information about Morley, please let me know and I will pass it on here.

It was not Christopher Morely in "Boy Meets World". it was a differnet actor named Christopher Marley. Several souces cite this incorrectly.

I'm fairly certain Chris passed away.
I really enjoyed his work in Freebie and the Bean and I remember an appearance on the sit-com that Ted Knight starred in.

  3. For what it's worth, none of his online bio info indicates his death. But, that does not mean he is not dead.

I worked with Christopher Morley in Evening At La Cage - the Toronto show - from 1988 to 1991. After that he went back to the States and I have no idea what became of him after that. In Toronto's production of Evening at La Cage he was impersonating Marilyn, Carol Channing, Dolly Parton (as a parody) and he'd auditioned his rendition of Judy Garland too, which didn't actually make it into the show, though it was quite good.
