The television pilot was produced in 1961 by Mirisch Productions (the same producing company behind the original film). The film’s stars, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis, made cameo appearances for the pilot, reprising their original characters from the film for the opening scene only. The pilot then shifts to new actors for the main characters: Vic Damone and Dick Patterson (playing the “new” Joe and Jerry).
The pilot was not picked up as a series; it remained unsold, but you can view it on YouTube by clicking here.

Today's EnFemme Funny - Never a truer word spoken. You can only imagine the number of husbands that pine for a session at a beauty salon. With Christmas around the corner maybe it's that perfect gift card to give this year 😉
ReplyDeleteThree or four times à year I go, en femme, for a pedicure at my local (well bus ride and 10 min walk away ) beauty salon. If I'm feeling modestly wealthy (I have to live on my allowance from HIM) I'll have a facial and a manucure but only clear varnish

Just a rehash of the film, with Tina Louise wasted in a small role. I'm not surprised it didn't get picked up.
ReplyDeleteI see why no one picked up the series.
ReplyDeleteMy personal theory is that any of these stories is a crossdresser's dream : Boy becomes girl.....Boy while a girl meets the girl of his dreams....Girl can't stand that the boy pretends to be girl, ....but boy becomes better man by pretending to be girl and girl falls him for it.
I'm convinced one of the creators of these stories is a crossdresser. I might be wrong, but that's my theory.

Some Like it Hot is an all-time classic movie, and not just for the femulating! I wonder how many of us watched that movie and wished we were as curvy and sexy and feminine as Marilyn Monroe...
