I'm working on getting a group of fellow seniors to go to the first show of "Barbie" on July 21 -- wearing something pink, of course. I can understand jerseygirlangie's lack of enthusiasm, but don't forget -- this film is by Greta Gerwig, one of the very best filmmakers working today. She's VERY creative and inventive, with a wicked sense of humor. Check out the two trailers on IMDB for a taste of how much fun is waiting for us in this film. Let's all post our reviews later in the month. I'm looking forward to a fun time watching Greta Gerwig satirize Barbie!
I've no real desire to see the Barbie movie, but, if that was the mandatory dress code, I would certainly change my mind !
