I like the first cartoon. Somehow that applies to my situation as a widower. On Sunday mornings I doll myself up far more than most of the women in my church. More than half wear trousers. There are some of them who wear T shirts, jeans, and sneakers. As I rebel against the dull hackneyed coat and tie apparel men are expected to wear for formal occasions, I wear dresses, makeup, earrings, heels, and nail polish. John
They may *pretend* not to notice that the husbands are dressed better than the wives, but everyone notices. And it will be very apparent when the husbands get compliments from women customers at the restaurant, and a little extra attentive service from the male wait staff;)
