RE: Charity gala where one husband clearly outdid all the wives On Sunday mornings I see most of the women wearing trousers, and some in jeans and sneakers. Hardly any of them wear heels. So, as a protest, I deliberately doll myself up when I wear a dress, with nail polish, hoop earrings, makeup, and heels. (Otherwise, I wear a man's coat and tie outfit. Only one other man does so.)
