Amelia Earhart. Congratulations on your flight, and your courage!

When I attended my first Texas T Party I felt the same way. I took the deep breath and went to the elevator to meet with my wife for breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Inside I met a TS gal from Tampa (I forget her name and I've never seen her since) who was the epitome of self-confidence and away we went. As we passed thru the lobby a conference of welders or a similar profession were leaving a session from one of the conference rooms and we encountered them within the confines of an 8 foot wide hallway. She literally bowled them all over as I hung on for dear life trailing behind her in her wake, as we heard comments like "Oh this is too weird" and "did you see That"? Without her I'm not sure that I could have continued on my own. To this day, I'm still grateful for her presence. Oh, and like you I had on a cheap (Paula's something, I think) wig and later that day I was fitted and bought the wig and hair style that I still have to this day. When it went on people who were nearby said ... "that's you"!

One final thought .... I used to wear crew neck type blouses or sweaters but that drew too much attention to the center of my face, like your scarf did. So, now I wear V or scoop neck tops that draw attention to the neck and that tends to lead to less scrutiny of the face and our my jawline, which I've learned to contour.

Thanks again for an interesting read!! :-)

Jeaninejeaninecwhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08540080228757580548noreply@blogger.com
