Stana loved today’s Funnies. the one about crossdressers during the war made me wonder if that is when biological women started to have full-on relationships with crossdressers as mos5 eligible men were at war or had this started much earlier ? i bow to the knowledge of others here
My (admittedly limited) research doesn’t have any numbers or any data on how cross gender people were dealt with by the draft boards. Under US Military policy during WW2 homosexuality was “incompatible with” military service, but not every homosexual person was identified and some served and with distinction. The Draft classification for identifiable gays was “IV-F” on moral grounds, but methinks the person would have to be flamboyant or otherwise obvious which even today isn’t common. As for cross dressers showing up to their draft boards crossdressed in hopes of a IV-F classification, it might work or if the local officer knew the person was known to date women it might not work.

ReplyDeleteOne of our mutual friends did that at the draft board, crossdresed. And it turned out another COS was there at the draft board that day.
